These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Macrios iOS app. By downloading or using Macrios, you agree to these terms.
1. Informational App Only (Not Medical Advice)
Macrios provides nutritional estimates and tracking tools. It does not provide medical diagnosis, dietary treatment, or clinical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical or nutrition decisions.
2. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Nutrition values shown in Macrios are estimates derived from user input, bundled food databases, and third-party data sources including Open Food Facts. Macrios does not guarantee the 100% accuracy, completeness, or suitability of calorie or macro estimates.
3. Local-First Storage and Data Loss
Macrios uses a zero-server, local-first architecture. Your logs and app records are stored on your device. If you delete the app, local data may be permanently deleted.
- You are responsible for your own backup and restore settings.
- Macrios is not liable for lost logs, deleted entries, or unrecoverable local data.
4. Subscriptions and Purchases (StoreKit)
Macrios offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Monthly and Annual) and a Lifetime purchase. All billing, renewals, account charges, and refund workflows are managed by Apple through StoreKit and your App Store account.
- Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled in Apple ID subscription settings before renewal.
- Pricing can vary by region, currency, taxes, and App Store storefront rules.
- Free-tier limits apply, including 5 free scans per day for non-subscribed users.
5. Apple Standard EULA
These terms are subject to and supplement Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
6. Acceptable Use and App Availability
You agree not to misuse Macrios, interfere with normal operation, or attempt unauthorized access. Features may change over time due to product updates, iOS changes, or App Store requirements.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Macrios and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your app use, including nutrition estimate variance or local data loss.
8. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions. The effective date above reflects the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
